This year’s challenge for the 2019 APRU Global Health Case Competition was related to using social media to promote physical activity in urban environments.
Out of 45 teams who registered for the competition, the three finalists were selected: University of Indonesia (Team Makara), University of Hong Kong (Team Jaja) and University of California, Los Angeles (Team Gamechangers)
The University of Hong Kong takes the top spot in the competition.

Mark your calendars! The 2020 APRU Global Health Conference will be held from October 18 to 21 with the theme “Universal Health Across the Lifecourse”. The conference will be hosted by Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
The book is entitled Global Health Leadership: Case Studies From the Asia-Pacific ,and is co-edited by APRU Global Health Program leaders, Dr. Mellissa Withers of University of Southern California and Dr. Judith McCool of The University of Auckland. It covers a wide range of disciplines—from tobacco control and non-communicable diseases to maternal health services and disaster preparedness—in a variety of societal contexts. Global health experts from both inside and outside of the APRU network contributed to this book.
