2017 APRU Global Health Program Conference

The University of the Philippines in Manila hosted the 2017 Association of Pacific Rim Universities Global Health Program conference Oct. 16-19.

More than 330 participants from 19 economies and more than 40 disciplines attended the conference, which began with a special half-day workshop on migration and health. Over the next two days, international experts from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and the U.S. spoke on a range of topics such as cancer and environmental exposures, workplace wellness, drug abuse in the Philippines, climate change and ethics, among others. It culminated with a one-day networking field trip, which included a cultural show and a visit to the Museum of Art.
